Description

Allstone Group farmhouse sinks are handcrafted with precision from single blocks of stone. Focused on creating lasting products of natural beauty.

This beautiful soapstone (also known as Steatite) is a metamorphic rock that consists of varying percentages of talc, depending on the quarry from which it is sourced, some will have a high %'s talc resulting in a relatively soft stone that may scratch easily, lower %'s of talc are harder and are more scratch resistant, this soapstone from Brazil is on the harder side, thus making it ideal for kitchen sink use. Marquina is very dense with 0% absorption, which means any staining will only be on the surface and can easily be removed, and its heat resistant. Historically soapstone was commonly treated with mineral oil, (and most companies still recommend it, but we don't) when applied the oil will darken the color to black, unfortunately treating it with mineral oil makes absolutely no sense, because when soap and water are applied the oil will simply wash off, which means you would need to treat your stone after each wash! With today's technology, engineered sealers are food safe and provide much better results, most will last for a year or more. Keep in mind, a sealer is only needed if you want your stone to appear black.

Allstone sinks must be professionally installed with custom cabinetry. Allstone sink products cannot be installed in a standard sink cabinet without significant changes and customization. These sinks are heavy and will require extra support to bear the weight of the sink. A custom sink base is recommended. Please consult a kitchen design specialist or professional cabinet maker for further assistance on installation.

About Allstone Group

WELLS... IT'S A WATER  THING...

A leader in the era of fashionable kitchen and bathroom sinks and accessories, Wells Sinkware has been serving a growing number of satisfied North American customers from its Chicago base since 2005.
Wells supplies all your needs for kitchen and bathroom sinks, faucets, and accessories with attention to Quality, Service, Value, and Love!

Wells’ extensive lines of stainless steel sinks are made of premium 18 or 16-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with uncompromised chrome-nickel composition. These sinks come in one of two textures--a traditional brushed matte finish that features subtle grain that resists scratches from normal wear and tears, or a European style satin finish that is beautifully polished, achieving an elegant silky look. The Chef’s Collection and New Chef’s Collection handcrafted 16 gauge sinks with reserved-radius corners present a streamlined contemporary appearance while offering easier cleaning compared to zero-radius sinks. The newly arrived 3D Series prep centers are handcrafted 16 gauge sinks with bold beveled rims and stepped decks. Each includes a low-profile stainless steel colander and rubber wood cutting board that glide effortlessly across the sink surface, bringing you a new level of convenience and efficiency while working around your sink.

Wells’ vitreous china vanity sinks, specially designed in-house to stay durable and stylish, have charmed designers and homeowners alike for years.

Most recently, Wells is pleased to offer new additions to the Wells product family: Wells lead-free All Stainless Steel faucets, designed by award-winning Italian artist Alessio Pozzoli.
