FLATWARE

Since 1997, Ginkgo has been bringing original flatware designs to the market at the best value. We have worked with designers and stainless flatware contractors from the United States, Europe, and Asia to accomplish these goals. We believe the patterns illustrated here are the highest quality and value.

LAFAYETTE

Designed by Wes Helmick. In the 15th and 16th century in the colonial period, the silver tableware was made from silver coins, since our country did not have any silver mines at this time. The coins were melted down, shaped, and hammered to their final form. Lafayette is a beautiful rendition of the hand hammered flatware of the colonial period. If a rustic, hammered look is what you’re going for, look no further than Lafayette style flatware by Ginkgo! Lafayette’s handle is bell-shaped. Stainless steel is extremely easy to care for! For 30 years, Ginkgo has been designing quality products to please the customer.

About Ginkgo International

GINKGO International, Ltd., and the W.S. Helmick Stainless Flatware Collections were founded in 1977 by Wes and Janet Helmick. Ginkgo’s purpose is to bring original flatware designs to the market at the best value. We have worked with designers and stainless flatware contractors from the United States, Europe, and Asia to accomplish these goals. We believe the patterns illustrated here are the highest quality and value that over 40 years of endeavor can produce.

We are proud of our designers’ patterns, from the original “Le Prix”® pattern developed in a small ancient French Alps town of Their, France, to our latest patterns, Old Newbury Crafters 18/10 stainless. These patterns are reproductions of handwrought sterling from Old Newbury Crafters in Amesbury, Massachusetts, which have antecedents dating back to the 1600s, and were incorporated in 1915. We are pleased to be associated with Old Newbury Crafters.

Flatware Set

I am giving this review 3 stars not because of the product, but the process of getting the product to the consumer. We had placed our order a couple months prior and the order ended up being cancelled. Normally, when you order a product online, the company gives a tracking number and your order then ships. With this company, you place your order and then you have to respond to an email and then that email has to get approved. And then, your order eventually gets shipped. The process was just strange, but the product is good. Thank you for reading.
