Conscious Chair 3162 designed in 1958 by the renowned Danish furniture designer and architect Børge Mogensen and Esben Klint. The chair is made of FSC® wood and Matek®, where an innovative technology allows us to recycle fiber-based waste materials with recycled plastic waste. It is the first time that a Børge Mogensen design has been relaunched in a different material than the original. The chair is available in seven versions.

| Sustainability | One Conscious Chair contains 2140g waste materials. Cutting-edge technology allows Mater to make furniture from waste materials in their patented Matek® material by combining fibre with a binder. The Matek® is made by mixing e-waste with either coffee waste from Danish coffee producer BKI Kaffe or wood waste. E-waste is a growing environmental concern across the globe due to the world’s use and throwaway culture. Only 17.4% of total global e-waste is known to have been collected and properly recycled. This figure has dropped over the last five years as a percentage of total waste generated. |
